Hard Being Average

Project Outline:

The aim was to produce a video to represent the idea of a bands ability being average, the end line of the song is "Its hard being average when you want to be great, I want to be the savior of the human race" and is the key to the songs chorus. The song is a pessimistic look at the music industry and the masses of unsigned bands performing to empty venues but even this doesn't put the bands off performing as if it was a ‘stadium’ gig.

The key to the video was to step away from traditional camera shots, filming the band in a confined space to each other and still putting 'their all' into the performance hoping this will exact some influence on outside forces. The scene was set with a computer animated apocalyptic scene happening outside.
